Jeannine McCameron
Jeannine
Y. McCameron is an award winning artist whose abstract works on paper express intuitively what she sees and feels. Her
paintings reflect an instant and emotional response with line, interesting textures and color that evoke a mystic quality
- something out of the ordinary, and not always obvious. A native Georgian, Jeannine holds a BA degree in Fine Arts
from Georgia College and State University, and she advanced her studies at the University of Georgia, LSU, and Academic Studies
Abroad, London, and has continued her interest in art through professional workshops and the Summer Art Program at the Arrowmont
School of Arts and Crafts.
"Though I continued studying
through professional venues, I felt the need to allow myself total freedom to paint in my own intuitive and unique style,
experimenting with a varity of media, with collage, and with found objects that provided the interest and spontaneity in my
paintings. In beginning a painting, I allow suggestions and forms to emerge from memories of past experiences or from
previous paintings that continue a particular series."
